From 1611-1632 . King Gustav II Adolf (1594-1632) ruled Sweden. In the last years of his rule . the monarch entered the Thirty Years' War in 1630 as a defensive measure to ensure the Swedish state and church from danger. This proved to be a smart military decision as Gustav's army was highly skilled and his postion improved from alliances with France Brandenburg and Saxony. In 1632 at Ltzen . while the Swedish forces defeated Albrecht W.E. von Wallenstein's amry . King Gustav was fatally wounded in the battle. Our Gustav Rapier (SH2206) and main gauche (SH2209) have been reproduced according to the design of the originals and are of royal quality.
